RE: Challenger interior
I have to wonder if this is "camouflage". It would make sense in a way. The layout being the way it's going to be, but use part from the Charger to cover things up. I mean the fact that no one has been able to get an interior shot before this is kind of shocking, but just in case wouldn't they pretty much have the inside covered up just in case someone does get a shot? They don't need to do testing on guages and such, I'm pretty sure they have those down for years now, and seats are the same thing. Why would they need to waste money on having the actual interior on the inside? Obviously they had to do something with the pistol grip shifter since the Charger doesn't have one, but that's about it.
I don't see them putting all this effort into the car, making it look like the concept and the 70s and then turning around and going out of there way to screw it up so bad to make it look like all the other car interiors out there. Let's just wait and see before we jump to conclusions. I did the same thing and then sat and thought on it a bit. I don't think this is the interior that we are going to see on the final, but I do think it's going to be the basic cockpit design in terms of shape.
Lastly, not that I'm doubting, but why do we only see the interior and under the hood? Is there a redesign coming up for the Charger? If you look under the hood, it seems shorter then the Challenger hood and tighter then I would think under the Challenger hood. Is this really the Challenger even and not the Charger? Just an idea, though it may not be right.
