To answer the question, yes the PCM had custom programming. If you change the cam that's when it becomes more mandatory than optional. In most cases a CAI(Cold Air Induction) and exhaust will not cause any issues and therefore these are the most popular options. Work on performance calibrations is being done for the car but I don't have a timeframe on that. Don't be surprised if there isn't a "Stage" type kit similar to what is out for the Neon SRT-4 but obviously specifically for the Chally. I run a Stage 2 kit on my SRT-4 and have put nearly 40K miles on it with no problems and a nice gain in performance. Most of the performance parts(especially late model fuel injected) are being designed to offer nice powergains/reliability/durability and driveability.
