I think you WILL be able to get a better deal on the SRT8's - initially. As is the norm, if the R/T raises the performance bar, the SRT8 can't be far behind. Why pay a
substantial premium for
marginally better performance?
Since the 6.1L is actually the 5.7L with reworked top-end, and the 5.7 has been refreshed which yields comparable HP and torque numbers as the 6.1L, I can foresee Dodge dropping the 6.1L entirely and going to the 6.4L for the SRT8 badge in 2010.
