RE: Supercharging the new Challenger
An underdriven supercharger (very little parasitic loss) with the right cool air induction, a modest N20 boost and the tremec 6 speed (with the listed factory gear ratio's) in a Challenger with the 6.1 Hemi and the right chipset should give any Mopar driver an advantage over the chuckle headed, put your foot to the floor and dont hit anything Mustang driver.
We all know that its the driver SKILL that wins most of the time and any truly skilled driver has always preferred a Mopar when available. (Are you listening Mr. Petty??) And besides, lest we forget gentlemen, in the end, there is no substitute for Cubic Inches when building a beast and Ford doesnt have the balls to match the 6.1 hemi (6.6 in the works?) in a Mustang with gas at 3+ a gallon.
I would fret more over what GM might do with a new Camaro or Vette, no?
Now, screw the tie and jacket set SRT8 and start building the 2009 RT with a Pistol Grip 6 speed and a Hemi so I can finally ORDER a real car from Mopar!!
