Well I'm no analyst so I couldn't explain it all. But the challenger was announced for production before cerberus took over. They quickly started making changes. Since they're trying to rework chrysler's whole business model they might not see the challenger as a step in the right direction. They probably figure they'll lose more money if they overproduce the car and it doesn't meet expectations. The other thought is that they're using the challenger more or less as something to attract attention and get buyers to buy their other cars, which could make up for their losses. . . like what the viper was supposed to do.
