Default RE: More Production Rumors

Heretic! Heretic! He must be burned for such blasphemy![sm=badbadbad.gif] Just kidding!

I've been wondering if myself if Chrysler wouldn't make a model with this platform for themselves, since Chrysler is getting their own version of many of Dodge's vehicles like the Aspen from the Durango. I wouldn't be surprised if they did. If they did it would probably be a sign that Dodge is going to do the Challenger the way we want it (reasonably priced muscle car). The only thing that makes me question this possibility is that the Firepower is supposed to have the 6.1L. If they make a Chrysler equavilent of the Challenger, what will they do to diversify their engine line-up since we know for a fact that the LY's are going to have the 6.1L? Could it be possible they would change their minds on which platform will be used for the Firepower, or would the Firepower offer the V10?

As for the HEMI, the current HEMI has the dual-spark plugs per cylinder technology which was offered to help it with the emissions laws. I admit that I don't know much between manuals and autos on which produces more emissions. The Viper doesn't have an automatic option, when many cars in its class do have automatic options.
