Default RE: Muscle cars have power to live on

Words of truth. As I said in another section, despite what the parrot-minded wisdom says (aka conventional wisdom) the answer to success is not with hybrids and econo boxes, if there were the answer don't you think that Dodge would be rushing a Neon replacement into production before building a muscle car since it takes so much less investment? Look at the sales of the Sebring and Avenger compared to the LX cars. Both LX cars that look identical on the inside and are 2-3 years old both managed to sell over 100K units while the newer, cheaper, and more fuel efficient Sebring and Avenger were unable to reach that level. Not even the somewhat fuel efficient Caliber managed to do that. Look at the Taurus as an example, under the 2007 standards it gets about 31 mpg and acceleration times are pretty good being at about 6.8 secs vs. the LX's 27mpg and mid-7 sec 0-60 acceleration times for the V6 models which I believe the LX cars individual sales on the non-Hemi models exceeded in sales that the Taurus was able to make.
