Thanks, gents, but I can't take credit for writing it. It's called "The Tax Poem" and I'm not sure who the author is - probably someone just like us!
It's gotten rediculous. They tax us when we make it, when we spend it, when we invest it, when we win it, when we inherit it, when we borrow it......... Seems like the same dollar is taxed for more than what we're left with!
....wasn't this the reason for the Boston Tea Party and subsequent Revolution?
One of them. The issue was also lackluster representation (much worse than what we have today) with the taxes.
