RE: There is nothing wrong wit the charger
I would prefer it to be a two-door as well but the problem is two-doors don't sell as well as they used to. The car itself I love. The power is excellent, the interior is luxury car level, the ride is the perfect compromise between comfort and performance, it offers a lot of nice options, it has a "do you feel lucky, punk?" glare from the front. I love the Charger and I am considering one, I just wish they would have called it the Coronet instead.
Patrick, I have to disagree with you on it being overpriced. The only other vehicles that offers a mildly similar package are the '06 Impala SS/Grand Prix GXP twins, the Cadillac STS, and the Crown Victoria/Grand Marquire/Town Car. The W-body cars (Impala/Grand Prix) is FWD, is using a very outdated platform, using a very outdated 4-speed transmission, offers lower quality interior, and looks dull in my bias opinion. The Cadillac STS offers a similar package but costs a lot more, it offers a few more opinions but not that much more. The Crown Victoria platform is from the stone age, with a gutless engine, outdated interior styling, outdated 4-speed with no manumatic, starts off at a higher price at base models and tops out a comparable price. The Mercury is slightly more expensive, and the Lincoln is much more expensive. So why do you think it is overpriced?
