And im not using any articles...im speaking from the point of rule world testing. while there hasnt been much done on the challenger, ive seen plenty of gtos on the track, and we have one member here who spoke about his ls2 auto gto...i think that he ran 13.60s stock, and ive seen similar cars in excellent conditions get into the lower 12s.. the SLOWEST srt8 sedan ive seen in person ran 13.40s...granted, a well driven manual ls2 gto will be faster, but you make it sound like the GTO is proven to be leaps and bounds faster than the 6.1 vehicles, and that is only true in comparison to the jeep.
And that is even questionable considering that the fastest time I have read in the 0-60 stand point in tests has been the GC SRT-8 (this is most likely due to having AWD and shorter gearing). On top of this, the Challenger will have the TR-6060, which is an upgraded T-56 (which is what the GTO used). The automotive press has said that it is a big improvement in easier use with the new Viper over the old T-56. Getting good times should be easier on the Challenger.
