I don't know if alot of people know this, but the Ford's previous "5.0", the 302, was in actuality a 4.9 liter. The 302 displaced 4942 cc. To qualify as a "true" 5.0, it would have had to displace at least 4950 cc. The 5.0 was a classic case of, shall we say, Ford "marketing optimism".
Besides, if the "5.0" does return it'll be strictly in name only.
