Gasoline Direct Injection and new transmissions (dual-clutch) are the direction to go for gas powered cars as well as expanding MDS-like systems. They also need to expand on Diesel offerings as well. Forced air induction is not the way to go as it is more for a certain market segment and not mainstream enough to get everyone on the band wagon and the same is even more true about hybrids with the added issue of the cost and the safety hazards.
