The Superbird returned in 1971 and was handicapped with a 355 cid. Every one else had a big block. Despite what NASCAR shows as an unfair advantage, Ford still won the manufactures cup that year and Plymouth had the most wins. I know that at one time there was only one team running anything other than a GM. That was in the 80s. NASCAR has always been a little partial to GM. I hate that the SCCA from the 70s is gone. Love those pony cars.
