I think a retractable hardtop convertible would be an extremely expensive proposition (come on - it's a DODGE, not a BMW...). As long as it doesn't look like Conestoga wagon with the top up, I think a soft top will do just fine - especially considering its target market.
While I would personally never buy a ragtop Challenger, I still think Dodge would be foolish not to make one. Ford has a Mustang convertible, and Chevy is no doubt gonna offer a ragtop Camaro... it's only fitting that Dodge offer a ragtop Challenger. God knows they need a good looking convertible since Chrysler mortifyingly uglified the Sebring last year. [:'(]
I was considering it's target market and Chrysler already offers the Sebring as a retractable hardtop convertible which I'm pretty sure are a little cheaper then a BMW. Also, I bet with the shape and design of the roofline and the body,etc. that it would be alot easier to pull off then other cars that have had that option.
