Default Second Annual DF Northern US/Canada Area Summer Meet and Greet Thread!!

So, we had this meet and greet last year, and we had a good time, although it poured rain all day. This year, we are hoping for nicer weather, and it occured to me that I should also extend the invitation to the folks at this site.

Here is the post from DF.

Last year, we met at the Walter P Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and we got some rainy weather, so the turnout wasnt great. So, I think that this year, the museum will work for a meeting place again. Amanda and I are there monthly, and things change from time to time, especially the display vehicles.

The planning seems to be finished for the 1st Annual Michigan/Ohio Area Meet, Greet, and Cruise!!!

Here is the information:
When: July 26, 2008 - Noon to ???

What: We will meet at the Walter P. Chrysler at 12:00 noon. I am going to check on the entry price if we have a group, but for a person walking in, it costs a 6 dollars (its only 3 if we have a group of 15 or more..which I should hope that we have!). We will spend some time at the Museum. It is not a huge place, but there is alot to look at, and even a small theater that plays some Mopar-related movies. Around 2:00pm (or whenever everyone has had their fill of the museum) we will then cruise as a group to Hooters of Troy. We will enjoy wings and drinks and maybe have some people check out our rides. After this, there are no official plans, but we could also cruise elsewhere. We do remind you, if you are old enough to drink and plan on doing so, please bring a designated driver!!

Who: This event is open to all DodgeForum.com members, and if you are coming and know other Dodge/Mopar enthusiasts, bring them along!!

Price: The museum could cost as much as 6 or as little as 3. We need 15 people to get the group rate ($3). The cost at Hooters will vary depending on how much you eat and/or drink! As an extra bonus, there will be free DodgeForum.com decals for all attendants!

RSVP: While we arent requiring any sort of official RSVP, it would be great if those who are coming would post up here and let us know. Even if you cant stay for long, it would be great to see as many of the members as possible at this event! When you post to let us know, please let us know what vehicle you would probably be in!

So, post here if you plan on attending, and I will continuously update this post with a list of who is coming. Also, try to mention what you will be driving. If you have a friend or friends that will be coming along, mention that here as well, and their vehicle. (If they have Dodge products, they should be able to post here themselves, if you get my drift! )

NOTE: For those of you traveling to the show from the south, who plan to take I75 north, it is closed. The route that I took this past weekend was to take 75N until it hits 275, then take 275 to I94. This is slightly longer as far as mileage, but I made the trip last weekend, and my timing in getting from my area to ohio was about the same, and 94/275 are much much nicer roads than is 75 (which is why they closed it).
