Well, in San Antonio, I just discovered that the city's only five-star Dodge dealer, Gunn Dodge, has suddenly gone out of business. No announcement, no nothing. It was quite literally there in the Gunn Autoplex (several dealerships all owned by the same family side-by-side on Interstate 35 -- all the rest are GM products) one day and gone the next. I'd intended to order my '09 through them, since they were fairly close to my house. Apparently, the Dodge lineup will be handled by the nearby Mission Chrysler-Jeep dealer (also a five-star facility). I suppose this is all part of Chrysler's combining of its dealerships, but it struck me as very odd. Now I'm kinda wondering how long Chrysler itself is going to be around if a huge dealership like Gunn Dodge suddenly disappears.
