I agree, the 426 was and still is the best BB that was ever built. The new 6.1L is not a true hemi design, but rather a partial, or semi hemi design.
I have the components to bring the srt8 370cid out to 426. The converter swap will gain me close to 1.0 seconds in the 1/4, and much of that will be in the 60's alone (.4-.5).
The superCharger is still a debate, but I will have the rotating components to see about 5-7 lbs of boost. All the mods, and no loss of street manners. I have my dealer installing the Stall converter before I pick the car up, and will complete the mods in the fall at my machine shop. While I know I will most likely detune the combo after next summer I will see 700+pf of torque to the tires! 10.80-10.90's, and then hope on the freeway and drive home :-Þ
