I'm not trying to come down on you or anything Budman, I was just curious if car ID theft was a problem, and apparently it is. I don't see anything wrong with your registry, except for posting complete VIN numbers. Yeah, VINs can be stolen off cars themselves, but at least a thief has to go to the trouble of walking up to a vehicle, not just copying down numbers from a list online. If I were you, I'd keep compiling my list, but simply not publish the complete VINs. Maybe just partials or something.
