RE: New Dodge Challenger SRT8 cruises into supercar class
Questions & concerns:
- 0-60 in 4.9 (seeing this figure much more frequently nowadays than the previously-boasted 4.7 secs, according to Road & Track)
- The front fascia doesn't line up "perfectly" with the hood and front fenders?!?!?! Are you effin kidding me???
- This person reports that 8,000 2008 SRT8's will be produced, not the very specific 6,400 units that Chrysler had us believe. Seriously what is the deal once and for all on total production for the `08s???
So, if I'm one of those who had to have the first ones I would be pretty frustrated right now. I don't know if I could get past a few simple factors here: Chances are I probably paid a fairly significant mark up to my local stealership for a car that doesn't line up perfectly in the front; whose exclusivity seems to be waning by the day; only offers a slush box transmission...and at this rate will NEVER FRIGGIN ARRIVE!
So glad I'm waiting for 2009!
