Sometimes manufactures change their minds after their offical statements. Sometimes they lie in their offical statements so then they can catch their competitors off guard and surprise people. I think it is possible. They need to offer the Firebird because the GTO will not work the way they are marketing it. The upcoming GTO is a waste. The Firebird should be brought out instead.
