Have you been given a VIN number at that price? Unless you happen to be a VERY good customer (meaning buying cars every couple of years from this dealer), I would insist on your VIN number and then call the 800 number to be sure your name is on it. For a dealer only allocated 3 cars, I would be very suprised that they would committ to MSRP. Please let me know your status, as I have a firm max price of 5K over, but I would have no problem trying to get a better price.

I put down a $500 "good faith" deposit in February 2006 for the right to order the first Challenger in Waco, Texas. I negotiated then to pay MSRP. When I went to the dealer a week ago to check the status, the sales manager told me he ordered 3; mine, the owner of the dealership and a friend of the owner. If I do not get the first one, I will not pay above invoice.
