"Here we take a look at the significant changes to this heritage-style two-door that arguably launched the retro-auto trend that can now be seen in Mini Cooper and Chrysler's PT Cruiser and new Dodge Challenger."
This is what passes for Journalism these days. 94 a concept 98 production? The Dodge Ram (a retro homage to the power wagon of the 50's) was out in 94 and the prowler (33 coupe?) was in production 97.
The Americans taught the Germans how to sell retro, and the Germans showed the Americans how to turn a profitable company into a struggler....nice turn around...and these hipster history revisionists are all a flutter over a golf in beetle clothing. At least our Charger in Challenger clothing has the engine in the same place as the original.
