Default RE: Retro Cars, Chevy HHR, etc.

I think aside from muscle cars, the retro thing has run its course.
We had the Prowler, PTCruiser, TBird, HHR..... The problem with these is when theyve run a few years, how do you update the look without taking everything out of balance?
I think the Prowler died due to a lack of a HEMI V8 option. The TBird was just dull. The HHR is suffering the same fate as the Cruiser - hard to update a model year without changing the whole look.

While Id love to think I could have something like a 1935 or 1936 Auburn Boattailed Speedster on a modern chassis, I just cant see it happening.
Now if someone would try bringing back the Nash Metropolitan, it would probably be a BIG hit with the tree huggers.
