RE: MDS - Must have?
There's simply no reason for DCX to try to treat the Challenger like a Corvette killer. First, they've already got the Viper so why try to recreate that? Second, no American production car can kill the Corvette. Unless Ford revives the Cobra (the real thing, not these dumbass Mustangs with "Cobra" badging) or Daimler Chrysler brings back the Plymouth line and the Barracuda & GTX with it... nothing can kill the 'Vette.
The Challenger needs to be treated the way all the trades are touting it: direct competition to Ford's Mustang and Chevy's soon-to-be Camaro. Keeping that in mind, the Challenger needs to be priced on par with or lower than the Chargnum.
Given the competition, unless Dodge can lose about 600 pounds from the Challenger, we need a 6.4 liter Hemi with MDS. Who wouldn't take 505 horsepower with 20 miles per gallon?
