So, I got my new pistol grip shifter today from Butch Kissick at Wings Aviation Products. It is sweet!!
It looks like the classic pistol grip but has carbon fiber grips to match the interior. The installation was cake.
The old shifter slide right off and the new construction is simple. It has 3 pieces; a billet alluminum handle that fits your fingers perfectly, and 2 carbon fiber grips. The left side has a thumb rest that fits perfectly. The assembly was simple; it has three small screws that basically pull the grips together against the billet shifter. The shifter is held onto the shifter post via 2 small allen set screws. The top of the billet shifter has the shift pattern etched into the metal.
I couldn't be happier. It looks great and feels awesome.
