mopar2ya....tell me about it. if putting on the shifter was as difficult as getting stuff to post on here, i would have sent the thing back!
from upwrapping the box to tightening up the last screw, it took a total of about 20 minutes. that included a call to butch because i was scared to torque on the old shifter compression fitting to get it off. it was actually quite simple after speaking with him: just use a flat head screw driver and push between the leather knob and the silver compression fitting. after a few small pries, the compression fitting slipped right off.
my only suggestion for the entire product is that the top of the billet alluminum should be etched with Challenger or SRT8 instead of the shift pattern. the shift pattern is already on the console, so i think something else would look better.
