Default mygig

Ive got a question for those of you who have played with the mygig in your challenger or any car that has had one. With the songs loaded onto the harddrive does it work like any other cd player? What I want to know is if I pick a playlist from the mygig, listen for 10 minutes, then turn off the car off and come back, will it pick up at the same time in the song I was listening to when I turn the car back on? I have attempted to use an mp3 player in my car and it is a worthless solution. You end up with a wire plugging the mp3 player into the aux jack, another wire running to the cigarette lighter to keep it powered. Then you have to turn on the car radio, boot up the mp3 player. . . and when you get out of the car youve gotta remember to turn the mp3 player off. Then you get back in, do the same, and depending on the player it may or may not pick right up where you were in the song. Basically a pain in the ass. When I put in a CD and Im running errands I know if Im in the middle of the song itll pick right back up when I get back in my car. If the mygig does not do this its just as worthless a solution for me as an mp3 player, except its $800.

Also has anyone who pays attention to car audio seen if anyone ..sony, jvc, someone.. is coming out with a harddrive solution like I described? It would seem to me that they would be everywhere but they arent. Theyre just targeting the ipod crowd with aux jacks or usbs.
