Default RE: R/T 1/4 mile & 0-60 times

Very true, the real number you need to know is the 60' times. Everything is based on the availible traction from a stop at the strip so this is what needs to be optimized. I do not claim to be a drag racer but I have been a National class Solo and Pro solo competitor for 23 years and know what it takes to "cut a light".

0-60 times mean nothing. Ask any racer how fast his car is 0-60 and he will look at you and say who care or I don't have a clue. When it comes to 1/4 mile times the driver, weather and track prep play big rolls in how fast a car is on any given day. I dragrace a 06 Sebring 4cly/auto at one of the local tracks in sport compact class. I make it into the finials every week. On wed. nights I go to the TNT heads up races. I have 3 guys with newer 6cly Mustanges that can't touch me. By allmeans there cars could beat me heads up every race. But I beat the drivers every time not there cars. Thats why race teams have hired drivers.
