A shorter bolt would have worked but the suppliers for the seats that supply seats for many LX versions is the final assembler and they would have to mandate the change. This would no doubt have to be re certified for safety and strength, so it ends up not being such an easy thing to get changed. How many of you are actually having issues and have seats that are worn all the way through?
