Yes, I have heard people using newspaper for years. I don't get the paper and neither do my neighbors. Everybody is doing the news electronically these days.
Invisible glass has been my choice for the last 4 years along with the blue paper towels you get at an auto store. Afterwards I get another blue paper towel
and moist it with water and wipe the windshield again.
It looks awesome.
Be sure to do the interior of the car because the outgassing of automotive interior leaves a cloudy windshield so you want to make sure to clean that mess off.
