RE: Ever feel the conspiracy theorists may not be SO nutty?
Yeah but don't these cars have different gearing??? and were built to be used in different ways...
Same engine BLOCK but different components...
Honestly it's the assembly line the thing that blew up Henry Ford... once it's on the line it seems like it takes years and years to see a change, do to the fact that you would have to stop production and change the components. Its easier to just build off of existing technology (easier and cheaper) Cheaper being the extreme key factor... why would they change their ways if it's going to take a few years to see a profit come back??
Look at the Challenger it's a very good a example, Dodge could of built a different platform for this car and shed a few hundred pounds too. I honestly don't believe them when they say it will take to long to make a new platform and we wouldn't see this car for another year or two... So what??? right we get what we want.... It's the fact that it costs them more money to do so, so they use exsiting technology to build the Challenger. That's my conspiracy theory...
