Default What is 55 HP Worth?

I was curious of what the 55 hp difference between the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemis would be in the 1/4 mile using an on-line calculator.

After putting in the following numbers, this is what I got:

Input

5.7 R/T= 370 hp; 4,221 lbs (includes 180 lb. driver)
6.1 SRT= 425 hp; 4,350 lbs. (includes 180 lb. driver)

Results

5.7 R/T= 13.82 mph
6.1L SRT= 13.33 mph

I think that these estimates are darn close. The 55 extra hp of the SRT will result in a 1/2 sec. difference in elapsed time- still a decisive victory in the 1/4 mile. If you want to play around with the numbers yourselves, here is the web site:
