You can't imagine how frustrated I am for you!! well yes you can cause your the one having this LOUSY problem which I think is really the dealers fault but I could be wrong. In any case it certainly is not yours and your dealer should have been on top of your order knowing how special it is and was to you. Plus you know what you ordered and what ever you decide the dealer should compensate you in some manner to your satisfaction. As for what you should do.....well all I can tell you is what I would do but then I'm probably more patient than most but if I really wanted the 6 sp then I would reorder and demand that the dealer do everything in his power to rush your order and delivery as I'm sure there is no way to rush an actual build. Now if you look at the actual dates of my car I can show you that from Scheduled Build or D-1 to actual delivery was about 35 days so its possible to get one that fast. My long wait was from initial order with a von on May 15 to that D-1 status in late August. Brucer my friend what ever you do please put down that ax!!! I truly believe that if you want that 6 sp that bad that its truly worth waiing for!! I could write 3 pages here of stories about trying since Dec of last year to try and get one of these Challengers and all the dealers with all the lies and BS and then finally finding a dealer that would even place an order and I agonized over the thought that I would never get one for some crazy reason . Well if I waited long enough my patience would pay off and it has. So do what you think is best just for you! Make the dealer do his job or whatever you think you want him to do and within a month or 2 at most you'll be driving EXACTLY WHAT YOU REALLY WANT

Well a great day gone bad for me. Just got off the phone with my dealer. He told me my car will be in on Monday!!!! That is a wonderful YEAH!!! However, one slight, small, ity bitty, tiny, miniscule, almost not even noticible problem with the car that he felt bad having to tell me about. I ordered the SRT with a 6 speed trans. The car that will arrive on Monday is a 09 SRT, however it is an automatic! Somehow and I cannot even begin to believe it, they made the car an auto. All of my paperwork says 6 speed, the VinWin says 6 speed but the car is an auto. Dealer says I can take that one or wait for them to build another. He says he is trying to get a rush order done but he has no idea how long it will take. I dont know if I can do this over again. I am so stressed out from the wait and grief now I am not sure I can take another few months. My heart is really set on the 6 speed, its all I have wanted since I first read about this car and now I am faced with this dilema. WHAT TO DO? This just sucks on such a scale that is so bad. I am going to take the weekend and think real hard about what to do and try very hard to NOT take a claw hammer to my forehead.
