Hmmm, that is very interesting. I am thinking that a filter might be nice. But maybe there are cool things to be done with a filter. Perhaps we could get an activayed carbon filter to remove odors (although I love that new car smell and don't let anyone smoke in it). But hey, perhaps they could be scented; you know - aromatherapy for muscle cars. You could have ocean scent for those land locked folks like myself in Colorado; mountian fresh scent for those on the coasts. But of course, the most popular will be burnt rubber for that drag racing mood...
