Yep, happens all the time. My friend was out mowing his lawn and saw a crash where the motorcyclist was racing another over 100 mph's. This was in a residential area. One bike hit a woman pulling out into the street and killed her, the car caught on fire it was hit so hard, and nothing my friend could do to get her out. The other bike kept going.
I will admit I do speed. But not in residential or crowded areas. I hit over 100 all the time, easy to do. On freeways when it is clear and I don't swerve in and out of cars. If I come up to traffic, I just fall in.
