The posts in this thread reflect what I thought last night as I was watching the returns and seeing which states went for which candidate. My thought? As a country we have changed as evident by electing an African-American man to the White House which by the way as of today is the single most defining moment in this countries history that decries the freedoms that most people in this country have enjoyed for hundreds of years. The second half of my thought? As a people we havent changed that much. Look at the states that voted against him. Mostly confederate states or sympathizers. My observations thats all. We need to seize this event and as a country/people make a statement to the world that we are ONE people, ONE country instead of all of the nonsense that has plagued us ever since day 1.
