I believe this will be one of those white lies. 400 HP is more to the truth. Why would you pay $40,000 or more for an SRT-8 at 425 HP then $30,000 for an R/T with 400 HP. 25 HP difference. So put it at 375 HP and you have a larger difference. Advertisement. I would opt for the R/T with 400 HP over the SRT-8 at 425 HP. And thats what I'm going to do. Black R/T 6-speed here I come. I know I know the SRT-8 has more options and bigger brakes. Better suspension and handling. But with 400 HP on tap and a savings of $10,000... I'll go the R/T route. With mods and a little more coin in my pocket I'll have the grin with-in a grin And $1700 gas guzzler tax no thanks.
