I've always been partial to Castrol products but don't think there is really that much difference between synthetics.
I think this is true. There IS a basic difference between conventional oils (ash-based vs. parafin-based), but I've seen nothing about anything like this when it comes to synthetics. Hence, I, too, use whichever brand is on sale.
