You've got to respect the fact that Caroll Shelby transends brands. He has worked with lots of factory and independants for decades to produce spectacular automobiles.

Mustangs have always hung their hat on their affordability. Even as a die hard mopar fan I have entertained the notion of a 30,000 dollar 360 Hp GT "whatever" over a 40,000 challenger. However, the price of the Shelby GT is close to what the SRT Challenger will cost. That makes me feel better about the cost of my future Challenger and vanquishes any crazy thoughts of settling for a stang.
