RE: Fear of a worthless car warranty
The problem though is that if they receive a bailout or whatever, there is no guarantee that will fix the problem. It could cause them to have to file for bankruptcy just a little later anyhow. The way I see it, during the bailout period people are still going to be very nervous of buying a vehicle from the manufacturers out of fear of this still potential for failure. This is why I think it would be better to just get it over with now when people aren't buying vehicles anyhow and try to be fixed by the time that the market comes back.
