Default RE: 1970 HAMTRAMCK REGISTRY LEGIT/BOGUS?

This is a legit web site, run by a long-time enthusiast Barry Washington. He also has a registry for T/A and AAR cars. I sent him the VINs of my two Challengers, plus copies of their broadcast sheets and tags via snail mail, once I knew who I was dealing with. He sent me information back on both of my cars regarding their history and some of it was a result of his efforts regarding the registry he built. I was a little hesitant to send him the info too, but he is legit.

He only collects 1970 Hamtramck and LA car production info. Maybe he can tell you something about your car? There is no charge for the info he sends you, unless it's for mailing hard copies. Now Galen won't say that his services are free, will he?

Yes, there are and always will be crooks out there and unfortunately your buddy got taken. I read an article in Mopar Enthusiast mag's next to last issue about VIN theft and it made me wonder if I shouldn't hide the sequential number of my car's VIN whenn I'm at a show to prevent fraud. Guess a couple of pieces of duct tape could go a long way to protect you.
