Very true ... on the track, the Hemis were better. But I was referring to their use on the streets. If you had a Hemi, you had to live under the hood to keep it in adjustment.
It wasn't that bad in 1971, when Plymouth/Dodge went with hydraulic lifters. A Hemi in tune would always beat a 440 in the 1/4 mile.
