Default RE: Going to dealer ... all 08 owners read this *Getting Lawyer*

All these new car's that I know of fly by wire anymore. No cable to the gas pedal. A neighbor had a new Mini Cooper . And it slowed to 30 mph with her foot on the floor. BMW flat beded the car to BMW dealer to be fixed . It was the box connected to the pedal . Guess it could go to wide open just as easy. I sure don't want my R/T doing that. I wrecked my new 71 R/T that way. Floored it and the 4 barrel stuck wide open going into a curve. Pulled it down in low as i had already learned you couldn't steer if you turned the engine off. It kicked into 2nd and turned the car side way's and limbed a embankment . Went through a guy's yard doing 120 mph. Hit a post in his yard . Pushed the driver side front wheel all the way to the door. Took month's to get it fixed . It stuck again on me and a shop redid the throttle . I later learned after getting rid of the car. Was a recall on it for too long a cable that was causing the cable to cut into the plastic housing .
