Default RE: Going to dealer ... all 08 owners read this *Getting Lawyer*

You mention being low on gas, and doing that several times. You also mentioned that the problem started when you were going around a corner, and problem ending when you were on a straight road. Most likely when you went around the corner your fuel pump started sucking air into the system. It worked hard to purge the air, and finally did after being on a straight road for awhile.

Your car has a high pressure fuel pump inside your gas tank, picking up gas from the near the bottom. The pump also relies on gas to keep it from overheating. Keep running it low on gas and you're going to find out how much it cost to buy and install a new fuel pump (after the old one burns out).

That's why someone before me gave you the good advice to fill your tank up when you reach the 1/4 range. I bet if you stick to that rule, your "problem" will go away (if the fuel pump has not already been damaged).

My guess is that if you tell the service manager exactly what you posted here, and your dad threatens to enact a "lemon law" (which actually varies from state to state so I have no idea what your's may be), the service manager will say what I said as he escorts you two out the door. Its not your fault, but your dad should know better.

Good luck

Dave
