I just found out on Friday, that my company is cutting my salary by roughly 8% this year, which was my car/gas allowance. It could be worse, but I'm very thankful I still have a job. Our company is doing relativly well considering this ecomony, but like every other company the stocks have dropped considerably and they need to find any unneccasary expenses and cut them.

In the DC/VA area most of the jobs are government related, so it's not really noticable.
