I'm expecting them to do that. It was in 08 that they upgraded the 4.7L, this year that they updated the 5.7L, so I'd expect an upgrade in the SRT offering. I'd think that the 6.4L would be produced with MDS and VCT. Why would Dodge continue to offer the SRT-8 with the same output much longer when the competition has caught up and setting a new benchmark. On top of this, with the higher fuel economy standards, this upgrades will help them.

I think sooner or later the V6 offering is going to lose the 42RLE, I just hope they replace it with a worthwhile transmission such as a rwd version of the 62TE and not the W5A580. I was expecting the Phoenix engine to replace it next year but I guess it isn't ready. I hope they DON'T get any crazy ideas and decide to add the underpowered, wannabe 4 banger, sludger (aka 2.7L V6). I hope that is the first V6 to die of the current offerings.

The only thing to remember is Chrysler might be suffering in the performance department since Big Brother Sam is in charge and ManBearPig doesn't like performance as it makes him a greater threat through the use of more fuel, and since we have to bow to figments of people's imagination AGAIN, this isn't going to help us in the performance department.
