I was able to locate a Chrysler press release showing how many 2009 Challengers were sold in 2008. With this information, I now have the toal number sold, as of April 30, 2009: 28,441. This is far from Dodge's original projections of 40-60,000! I guess its the 70s all over again and we have fairly exclusive cars.

There were 11,018 sold in 2008 and 17,423 sold in 2009.
