I saw one of the new “Transformers” Camaro in the wild last weekend, and I must say that the extra body panels really help the looks of the new Camaro. Or is that just that they cover up the way the Camaro actually looks???? Anyway, I could do without the bright yellow with black racing stripes (had that color combination on my old Superbird back in High School). Each to his own I guess, so as long as the owner likes it….
Everyone and his brother keeps bringing up how heavy the new Challenger is, well it is a big car, that’s just the way it is. I would have loved for Dodge to have trimmed down the weight a bit, but I wouldn’t trade anything for that weight savings. My SRT handles more like a sports car, than a 4000+ sedan, and has all the speed I need for the occasional…”that will teach you to mess with the new Challenger” street matchups. (I myself of course would never even think about street racing…..but if I did…well the new Challenger can handle most that cross its path) I like my Challenger just the way it is. And, how much real drag strip type racing do most Challenger owners do….1%, 5%....for most of us its cruising, and car shows, not speed contests. So the extra weight is really a non issue. Besides I want Camaro and Mustang owners to see more of my Challenger than just the back end on a drag strip!
