Default Gunnison, CO Car Show and Cruise

We left Oklahoma City Thursday night at 11:00pm after a ten hour shift at work..
Drove west 4 hrs. into Amarillo and then headed northwest..
We pulled into Gunnison around 1:00 Friday afternoon..
Beautiful, sunny, cool day.. Highs around 75 degrees..
Drove straight to the cabin to take a much needed nap..
Got up in time to drive to the Cruise-In in downtown Gunnison at 5:00pm
where they close off 4 blocks of Main St. and park the cars 4 rows wide..
They had a band, food vendors, and about 150 cars.. Lasted until ~9:00pm..

Then Saturday morning we woke early to get the car washed and make it to the car show at 8:30.. (lasted until 4:00)
There were 367 registered vehicles,,
and my class was "Post 70's Modified" (that covers a lot of cars..)
They were serving breakfast, had a band, and some sweet looking vehicles..

This is a fairly prestigious show, being one of only 25 in the nation that gives out the "Lee Iacocca" award..
This was the most organized car show I have been to..
They group the vehicles by similar class..
and the vehicles were voted on by car show registrants..

Here are pics of some of the vehicles..

Then on Sunday morning we met to do a "caravan" of about 125 cars to
drive the 28 miles to Crested Butte, CO where they had closed off 4 blocks of
their main st. to allow us to park 3 rows of cars and go eat breakfast..
