The crew of the British Top Gear TV show took a Challenger SRT (425 hp), a Corvette ZR-1 (638 hp), and a Cadillac CTS-V (525 hp) on a run from San Fransisco to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. When they started the trip, they had very little respect for American cars, but after flogging the cars over the mountains and the Salt Flats, they actually liked them.

During the Salt Flats mile run, the Challenger hit 150 mph. The ZR-1 hit 176 mph and the Cadillac CTS-V hit 163 mph.

Very entertaining videos. Look for two traffic stops, key fob prank, and inability to do burn-outs. The Challenger driver was cool. He is really into American muscle cars and actually bought the SRT for $51k. See:
